RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course: TWO CONSECUTIVE SATURDAYS 3/2/24 & 10/2/24 (Day 2 of 2)
THIS COURSE RUNS OVER TWO CONSECUTIVE SATURDAYS - ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY ON BOTH SAT 3RD & SAT 10TH FEBRUARY
This course will introduce the newcomer to handling a fast planning power boat, including, boat and pre launch checks, basic powerboat handling skills at both low and planning speed and how to plan a short coastal passage. This course is the minimum level required to drive a WSC powerboat. Training and assessment is generally carried out in the fast planning rigid-hull inflatable boats; RHIB. All successful candidates that complete the course will receive the RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) certificate.
N.B. You may Request a Direct Assessment if you have sufficient yachting/powerboating experience.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All participants must supply a passport sized photograph at the start of the course.
Courses take place from Lobster Quay. Please arrive at 08:45 ready to start promptly at 09:00.
Bring a pack lunch and plenty of warm clothes, tea & coffee is available on arrival.
